Calculation methodology

Business-day count

The selected range is inclusive. For each date, the calculator first checks whether it is Monday through Friday. It then checks the public-holiday records returned for the selected country and removes matching dates from the working-day total.

Holiday and long-weekend data

The application uses Nager.Date public-holiday and long-weekend endpoints. Data is loaded per country and year, with a short in-memory cache and a small fallback for basic operation when the external service is unavailable.

The dataset is not a promise that every local closure is represented. A local or regional holiday may be missing, and a substitute day may follow a rule that differs by institution.
